Vibe coded web app #1: P-Hacking: The Game

August 30, 2026

NOTE: this is a Codex-generated blog post and app:

I made a browser version of a board game I tried to design called “p-hacking.” You play as rival researchers working with the same dataset, each trying to show that your population has higher values and win the publication.

Players take turns playing cards like “Rounding error,” “Outlier removal,” and “Swap labels” to push the data toward their preferred result. You can also audit a sample, challenge your opponent’s last move, or lower the significance threshold. If the cards run out without a significant result, both researchers lose with a null result.

You can play against the computer at five difficulty levels or with another person on the same device. The rules are included on the setup screen.

Try it here: P-Hacking: The Game.
